Since I am just beginning my blog..I thought i'd make a formal introduction Lol..Soo My name is Faifua Tiatia and I'm the oldest of 9 kids! Yes big family and I loove it! I have 7 brothers; Lini, Filemoni, Howard, Hunter, Joseph, Tielu, and Tasele (oldest to youngest). And one beautiful little sister; Maryann. I have two nieces Sialei and Mariah, and they are definitely the light in our home! I love having them over. They bring out the best in me and my baby sitting skills Lol!
The oldest out of the Boys Lini, is currently on time out in Colorado Lol. Okay not a laughing matter but he is serving time in a federal prison. He has been gone for 3 and a half years now and will be home in JANUARY!! I'm super excited! We have been waiting for this time to come ..and it's right around the corner!!! Since he's been in..he's definitely matured! He has always been a good kid..but good kids make bad choices too! lol He has so much planned out and is so talented! I can't wait til he comes home!
He left a wife and two kids behind and they have been standing by him since day one. I love my sister in-law Mecca! She's definitely a super mom and has been basically a single parent of two since my brother's been gone. AMAZING!! Why she stuck by him? I have no idea!! hahaha jk Mex love you! :) These two are super cute...In love Since they were in 2nd grade? haha jk ok 9th lol Yeah too much these two! ha! Love them!
The one after him...my brother Moni.. is at the MTC getting ready to head out to Baltimore, Maryland! I'm so excited for him. He has been gone for I think 2 weeks now and we miss him so much at home. We know he is having a blast though. Before he got called to serve a mission he attended a full year at BYU.
Moni has always been bright and umm..OUT THERE! LOL He's definitely not shy and reaches out to everyone and anyone. While attending BYU he was a part of the show LIVING LEGENDS. He's been so lucky to travel and perform with them. It's always fun watching him perform with them. Moni's been dying to leave on a mission since he was born lol. I am actually waiting for an email from him...still no luck. Hopefully he didn't write all his friends and forget about us! LOL Aah two more years....
(Okay i have 8 siblings so this is gonna take forever LOL )
The twins (howard & hunter) just finished up their sophomore year at Hunter High School. It seems like they are never home! Either running or training for wrestling and football. They train all year around so hopefully it does something LOL jk..These two are best friends and I'm glad they are very close. They watch over each other wherever they go.
Joseph is right after them and he just finished up his 8th grade year at Kennedy Jr. High. This one..he is tooo much! haha! He is such a hard worker. Very committed and dedicated! Well most of the time..lol Joseph is very athletic and also sensitive. He is very emotional so we have to watch out what we say to him sometimes. I will probably write more about him later! ha!
Tielu and Sele are still in elementary. Tielu is older and is very quiet. We tend to forget him allll the time! haha I have no idea why..maybe because he barely talks maybe? ...but it's sad to say..we've left him at the park more than enough times when he was young! LOL Other than that..he loves football. I proof read all his homework writing assignments (umm yeah lol) and all he talks about is football! I definitely see his passion for this sport at such a young age. It's awesome.
Tasele..he plays football and boxes! He loves football as well. I think it's a boi thing lol all my brothers love football! Sele is into boxing as well but he says he likes football more! lol Sele can definitely talk your ear off! He's not afraid to ask questions..or ask for food..or money! haha I remember him asking one of my best friends Lani for money at a football game! No shame I swear! hahaha!
Last but not least..my sister Maryann!!! This girl is definitely way too much! (ok everyone in my family is "too much" lol) Very sassy and girly and everything i am NOT! lol Watching her grow up makes me realize how different we are...She's a spoiled brat and Daddy's little girl..yes she is! not me! LOL My brothers are so mean to her because she's so spoiled and kuluku! hahaha!
She just started dancing with me in the group I dance with..Te Hamata! It's awesome. Just recently I realized that I actually have a sister after 7 brothers! lol I have been so used to having brothers it was something to get used to...lol....She's growing up and we're actually having conversations lol..she's so mature for her age..and she hasn't even started school yet. I just wonder sometimes where she get's all her info from lol I love having her around even though she can annoy the heck out of me sometimes. She talks way too much for her age! I was having a bad day once and just yelling at her for free..she goes "fua what happened? you and your boyfrien broke up?" hahahaha! I was like? umm get out of my room! hahaha It's sad to say but sometimes..i love arguing with her just because! lol It's fun..finally having a fight with my sister that I never had 18 years ago! ha! She's so smart...can't wait to see the talents she will develop as she grows up!
In conclusion..LOL i love my family! My dad has always been a hard worker..he is working in Nashville, Tennessee right now to help support our familiy. He's always been traveling out of state since I can remember... I'm so grateful for my dad and his example of work ethic. My mom is at home with us ( like always) She's been a stay at home mom and I am quite thankful for that. Even though we are constantly arguing! It's what we do LOL I have been blessed with a wonderful family. I am definitely not the ideal daughter and my family is not the ideal family but it's okay! I rather have it that way! We have our own idenity; we are all very different! The trials we face together brings us closer!
As I am getting older...I have realized the importance of being with my family and cherishing every moment we have together. I always hated staying home! I always wanted to be out with my friends and be cheeky somewhere haha! But as that time in your life fades....you realize who has always been there and it's YOUR FAMILY!We are all growing up..and no one is at home at the same time anymore.so i'm trying to enjoy the moments we do have together. My family is really NOT the perfect family! I can be a hell child and most of the time me and my mom are arguing, my brothers like to fight each other like crazy and "shut up" and other words lol can be used quite frequently in our home, my sister cries all day when she doesn't get what she wants and we ALL want to strangle her. I have a brother in prison who was married at 16 and has two kids..and I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT ALL! lol Especially the chaos in our home! At the end of the day we only have each other..we're family for a reason..to help each other grow through all the obstacles in life.
Okay so Yeah...this was the longest post ever and it was only my second one! lol OH well...this is why I have a blog right lol!
Okay..sorry for the dramatic pic of him but I can't really find any other pics of him alone..LOL...I'm sure he wouldn't mind tho! haha ...Today my brother turns 22!! This will be the 3rd birthday we had to celebrate without him... I'm so excited he will be coming home soon. I'm sure we are going to put money on his books for his b day! after someone else puts money on my books! ahahahaha We are only a year apart so we have always been close! We went through everything together! One thing I miss the most about him is his humor...his ability to laugh through everything! He's had some hard times but he always tends to keep a smile on his face. I can be having the worst day here.. and he'll call all energetic "wassuppp!!!!" he's always in a good mood when he calls! It trips me out sometimes how he can stay so positive and be so happy in a place that he is in. I couldn't imagine having to go through that. He's very optimistic and tries not to let the "little things" bug...He always tells me..."don't stress over the little things". We have been through a lot together and we can talk to each other about ANYTHING! I love the friendship that we have. I know he can't wait to come home to his wife and kids! Mecca keeps pictures of him to show to the girls, they talk to him all the time on the phone.. and they visit him pretty regularly :) I'm so grateful for Mecca keeping their dad alive in their lives..even through all his shortcomings! :)
